Back in December I had the pleasure of shooting this beautiful couple who were expecting their twins in January! How amazing does this lovely yummy mummy-to-be look? As a couple who are not necessarily the most comfortable in front of the camera, they were so lovely to shoot and really laid back, they are clearly very in love and are going to be the most wonderful parents. I have since had a message from Letitia and their little bubbas are here!! So I cannot wait to shoot them both in a few weeks…I have just been very rubbish at updating my blog at the back end of 2019 that these little babies have taken over me before I have even had chance to post the pregnancy photos. These were taken in the most stunning location at Allington Castle, Maidstone, where Letitia and Mark got married the previous year. It was the first time they had been back since their marriage and we all had a great time exploring the grounds, snapping away as we went 🙂
Where to even begin with this wedding . . . just under two years ago Grace contacted me with a query around my wedding packages, little did I know when we first started chatting that they would be jetting me off to Spain to capture THE most stunning wedding in the Granada mountains or that we would end up becoming great friends. This was one of the most beautiful and emotional weddings I have yet to shoot from the personally written vows to the multilingual speeches, it was a true honour to be able to witness let alone photograph. I will treasure the memories of this wedding for many years! Oh and by the way . . . abroad weddings are my new favourite thing 😉
In three weeks time my beautiful friends will be expecting their first baby, the gender of the baby is going to be a surprise and we all really can’t wait to meet the little one! Last weekend I joined Becky & Rob on a rather cold and windy morning walk in Seasalter, Whitstable, to capture some natural pregnancy photos for their memories. The two regularly take walks along this beach and even got married a little further up a few years ago so is rather a special place for them and therefore a perfect destination to document such a special time in their lives. We were strolling for no longer than an hour and here are just some of the shots we got on the day 🙂
Last month I had the absolute pleasure of travelling all the way to Thailand for an intimate wedding of two of my closest friends. It always feel like added pressure when a friend asks me to do their wedding photography, I’m not sure why as I would always want to provide the highest standard of photos that I can but I do always feel extra nervous. Anyway, the trip was beyond incredible, we took complete advantage of the opportunity and stayed out there for 2 weeks visiting Bangkok, Koh Samui and Koh Tao.
The wedding took place smack bang in the middle of the trip in Koh Samui in the most stunning and luxurious hotel, Sereeraya Villas and Suites, Chaweng Beach. The wedding day itself started out with bright sunshine and scorching heat…unfortunately the weather took a turn and we ended up with a tropical thunderstorm. But, this did not put an dampener on the day (pun intended!) the entire day was still absolutely beautiful and we still got a boogie in the sand later in the evening when the rain had stopped. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them!
A personal post for a change but we had too much fun not to share!
As I am sure a lot of the South East of England is aware, there was a huge downfall of snow over night last night. Although I am secretly wishing for the snow to disappear by the weekend because we are supposed to be visiting friends and family in Cumbria, we definitely made the most of the joys of the snow today and I wanted to share that with you. My Father-in-Law is a cabinet maker so when he opened his curtains bright and early this morning (3am!) he got into his workshop and made our little Isla her very first sledge! By 10am my in-laws were knocking at the door ready to take us all to the park to whizz around on the new sledge! Such a great day, now snow…you can sod off now!
My final wedding of 2017 was this stunning winter wedding at Ufton Court, Reading. It was beautiful, crisp and freezing cold, the sun shone all day long. Bernadette got herself ready with her bridesmaids and Mum at the stunning De Vere Wokefield Estate before heading to St Mary’s Church to marry the lovely Alex. The reception was all about the yummy winterness with mulled wine reception drinks and baubles for wedding favours, such a lovely way to end a wonderful year of weddings!
This wedding was a two day affair for me, the first being the ceremony and reception at the Armathwaite Hotel in Keswick, Cumbria and then a few days later an evening reception at Hotel Continental in Barrow-in-Furness. I was all in for this wedding and it did not disappoint, a wedding ceremony in front of a HUGE bay window that over looks Lake Bassenthwaite in the Lake District followed by a drinks reception in front of said lake with views to die for, speeches that even I couldn’t hold back the tears for (not that that is any surprise really) and then an evening reception full of lots of kids skidding on their knees on the dance floor and pie and peas! The true northerner in me could not have been more in my comfort zone, although I did somehow manage to miss out on the pie.
